Salem Yacht and Boat Club is located about 4 miles west of Salem, on Highway 22, by the intersection at Doak’s Ferry Road.

From the private ramp at the club, there is nearly 4 miles of river to play in — water that is mostly inaccessible from any other Salem boat ramp.

We currently have 86 active members, with a maximum of 95. New applications are taken throughout the year to build a waiting list. Beginning in January each year, openings are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. At this time, there are 15 applications on the waiting list.  If you are interested in joining the Salem Yacht and Boating Club, please complete our online application.

Boat Ramp

Our boat ramp is paved, and ends in a protected cove, where you don’t have to fight wind or current.

Covered BBQ Area

We have a covered BBQ area, with propane BBQs, tables, running water, and electricity.  This area is open to all members, and cannot be reserved for private use.

Playground

Children love playing on the swings and playground by the BBQ area.  The playground was replaced in the summer of 2023 with a brand new area.

Sandy Beach

On warm, sunny days, you’ll see several boats on the beach, and children playing in the sand.

Moorage

If you need a place to keep your boat, we have dry moorage available in the upper gravel parking lot.  Spaces are reserved, for a fee, for one year at a time.  Full members are able to reserve these spaces.  Temporary parking, for up to 3 days, is available throughout the parking area.

Fenced and Gated

Our facility is secured, with fencing, gated entry, and security cameras.  While we do our best to keep the area safe, it is ultimately each member’s responsibility to secure their boats and gear.
