Join SYBC

Salem Yacht and Boat Club accepts membership applications throughout the year and builds a waiting list. Your application will be timestamped and placed into our membership system as an Application for Membership. You will be contacted when you get close to the top of the list.

Beginning in January, our membership coordinator will contact the people at the top of the list and invite membership. When you're invited, your membership will be activated once you pay dues and initiation fees.

It is strongly recommended to have a sponsor who can vouch for your character and help you with questions, rules, and understanding the safe places to operate your boat (if you have one).

Applicants without a sponsor are subject to a background check.

I agree to maintain liability insurance on my motorized boat for the entire duration of my membership at SYBC. I understand that failure to produce proof of insurance if a Board Member asks is grounds for immediate loss of club membership.
